Job Description
Responsibilities
· Coordinate preparation and execution of overhauling of rotating equipment during turnarounds, emergency shutdowns and equipment breakdowns.
· Support Condition Monitoring program (viz. vibration monitoring, oil analysis etc.)
· Provide technical support during project execution for rotating equipment e.g. pumps, compressor, steam turbine and etc.
· Assist in identification of scope and budget for turnaround jobs on rotating equipment.
· Responsible for ensuring availability of spares and manpower required for overhauling of rotating equipment during turnarounds, emergency shutdowns and plant breakdown.
· Take lead in coordinating the site activities on rotating equipment during turnaround.
· Participate in scope challenge workshops and provide advice on technical issues related to rotating equipment.
· Carry out / Support Root cause Failure Analysis of rotating equipment
· Take ownership of the current Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) programs optimize the Preventive and Predictive maintenance activities.
· Improve the overall mean time between Failure (MTBF) of plant machinery
· Responsible for ensuring the preventive maintenance program for rotating equipment is complied with.
· Coordinate with contractor and ensure the quality of the job on rotating equipment.
· Coordinate overhaul of equipment with local workshops.
· Conduct technical evaluation of rotating equipment vendors for minor and major projects.
· Carry out inspection during construction & commissioning of rotating equipment for minor and major projects.
Requirements
· Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· 2 - 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry.
· Must have led the overhaul of steam turbines, compressors and pumps.
· Should be good in coordination with vendors and contractors.
· Must have use software for Planning of resources for maintenance work on rotating equipment.
· Must have worked as rotating equipment engineer for at least 3 years.
· Must possess thorough knowledge of rotating equipment internals.
· Must be able to work under pressure and for longer durations in emergencies.
· Working knowledge of industrial codes and standards is desirable
· Knowledge of static equipment maintenance and troubleshooting will be advantageous.
