• To focus on bridging the knowledge gap of vector-pathogen-host interactions in mosquito-borne disease transmission.
• To understand the immune and pathogenic mechanisms during mosquito borne-virus infection to guide the development of targeted and effective control and treatment strategies
• Work with patient cohorts and relevant models (both in vitro and in vivo) of infectious disease
• Plan, schedule, co-ordinate, and lead multiple industry/research projects
• Design and conduct experiments including analyse, interpret, and present scientific results
• Conduct presentations to research collaborators and industry partners
• Develop new research techniques and approaches
• Work independently and with collaborators to develop new research ideas

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with cell culture and organoid models, mouse models, animal studies, cell biology, flow cytometry, cellular and molecular techniques, microscopy, handling with BSL-2 and BSL-3 pathogens will be an asset
• Experience with industry project management
• Strong background in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics
