Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage robust, detailed schedules for all stages of the building project, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Design and sequence construction operations efficiently, ensuring master and detailed work programs are aligned with project costs.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, identifying critical activities and ensuring any potential delays are flagged to the Project Manager.
  • Provide strategic adjustments to project schedules and plans to maintain momentum and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring progress aligns with the project schedule, and swiftly addressing any issues that arise.
  • Deliver regular and insightful progress reports to senior management and clients, showcasing the project's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations, codes, and safety standards to ensure the project is executed to the highest standard.
  • Identify potential project risks early and develop proactive mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of planning engineers, ensuring continuous development and success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry, particularly with building projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) is essential.
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, materials, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or residential building projects, particularly institutional developments.
