Managing Director – Singapore

Location: Singapore Reporting Line: Regional / Global Leadership

Role Summary

The Managing Director is accountable for the overall leadership and performance of The Company in Singapore.
The role carries full responsibility for business results, including financial performance, client relationships, operational delivery, and people leadership. The Managing Director represents the company locally and ensures the Singapore business operates in line with regional and global direction while meeting local regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

The Managing Director sets and delivers the business plan for Singapore, with a focus on sustainable growth, profitability, and market presence. The role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining senior client relationships, and strengthening the company’s reputation in the local market.
The role has full profit and loss responsibility for the Singapore entity, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and cash flow management. The Managing Director ensures appropriate financial governance and provides regular performance reporting to regional or global leadership.
The Managing Director is responsible for the overall quality and consistency of project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered safely, meet contractual and regulatory requirements, and align with company standards. The role includes oversight of operational risk and support for continuous improvement.
The Managing Director leads the local leadership team, supports talent development and succession planning, and promotes a professional, collaborative culture aligned with company values.
The role also acts as the local statutory director where required, ensuring compliance with Singapore laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards, and managing legal and contractual risk.

Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field, with significant senior leadership experience in engineering, construction, project management, or professional consultancy services.
Proven experience with full P&L responsibility, strong knowledge of the Singapore market, and a track record in client leadership and business development are essential.
An MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred, as is experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
