Planning Manager
Job Scope
This position manages the planning and programming requirements for Northern Tuas Basin project.
The incumbent shall be part of the Planning Department as a technical expert to to prepare and review
baseline, working and recovery programmes for existing project. he is also required to provide planning
and programming support for the pursuit of new tenders.
Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
· Developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones,
and resource allocation.
· Creating detailed schedules and coordinating various construction activities.
· Identifying potential delays and developing mitigation strategies.
· Establishing project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration
with stakeholders.
2. Change Management:
· Overseeing change orders and assessing impact to completion milestone dates.
· Assist and support all claims for extension of time.
3. Resource Management:
· Allocating resources effectively, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
· Coordinating the work of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Assessing and reviewing adequate staffing levels and skill sets are available for each phase of the project.
4. Risk Management:
· Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
· Conducting regular site inspections to assess progress and identify potential issues.
· Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
5. Communication and Coordination:
· Maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
· Providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or issues.
· Facilitating project meetings and ensuring alignment among team members.
6. Project Closeout:
· Overseeing the completion of all project activities and ensuring all extensions of time claims are accounted for.
· Managing the final documentation, including as-built drawings and project records.
· Conducting a post-project review to identify lessons learned and areas for
improvement.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6
• Shall have at least 8 years of work experience in the built industry including:
o Involvement building/infrastructure projects
o Experience in internships and project work will be considered.
o Completed at least 1 reclamation project
· Good knowledge of construction methodologies and construction management.
· Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders from local and overseas.
· Effective stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, to understand, handle and resolve issues.
· A proactive, user-oriented and curious mindset, with a desire to engage in continuous learning and improvement.
