Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a technically proficient senior engineering professional to lead the development and coordination of fire protection and utility systems on complex industrial projects. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring that engineering outputs meet both client expectations and regulatory benchmarks, while supporting the project through design, execution, and final commissioning stages.
Primary Duties:

Serve as a key engineering contact throughout project tendering and delivery, overseeing technical submissions, schedules, and resource estimates for assigned scopes.

Create and validate engineering documents such as utility piping layouts, pressure drop calculations, flow schemes, and system integration packages.

Review detailed engineering documentation including technical datasheets, vendor deliverables, drawings, and specifications to maintain alignment with design intent.

Interface actively with clients, internal design teams, project management, and external vendors to address and resolve technical issues.

Take part in multi-disciplinary design coordination and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with both fire protection standards and site-specific safety requirements.

Provide field-level technical guidance during installation, pre-commissioning, and system start-up phases.
Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering or related discipline.

5 to 10 years of engineering experience in large-scale EPC or EPCm projects, preferably involving industrial or energy facilities.

Practical knowledge of water-based fire protection systems, hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., Pipenet), and drainage system sizing is highly advantageous.

Familiar with technical safety studies such as HAZOP/HAZID and fire safety code requirements (local/international).

Able to interpret complex design inputs, technical specifications, and contractual requirements with high accuracy.

Experience coordinating engineering deliverables in high-paced project environments and managing vendor engagement.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Attributes:

Prior involvement in engineering firewater or utility systems for petrochemical plants, refineries, or chemical facilities.

Experience with layout optimization, capacity checks, and construction support on brownfield and greenfield projects.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently while supporting larger project teams.

Demonstrates leadership in multidisciplinary coordination and proactive issue resolution.
