Job Description

Spearhead the implementation of quality strategies aligned with project benchmarks, ensuring alignment with high-tier evaluation systems such as CONQUAS (Band 1) and Quality Mark targets.

Draft and execute quality protocols and operational guidelines tailored to contractual obligations and client standards.

Lead quality control initiatives, overseeing inspections on works, materials, and installations across project phases.

Manage and mentor the QA/QC unit in executing periodic assessments, audits, and surveillance tasks to maintain construction integrity.

Respond promptly to feedback or observations from consultants, owners’ representatives, and any issued site notifications.

Investigate material and workmanship deficiencies, instituting corrective protocols where standards are unmet.

Drive remedial and mitigation strategies to uphold construction compliance and avoid recurrence of quality lapses.

Maintain alignment with quality benchmarks, ensuring rigorous adherence to technical requirements and industry norms.

Facilitate onboarding and refresher programs to upskill team members in quality control practices and awareness.

Review and validate reports, checklists, and quality documentation submitted for stakeholder and authority references.

Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to manage QA expectations and uphold compliance across the supply chain.

Monitor and track quality performance indicators and statistics to support continuous project evaluation.

Join early-stage design coordination sessions to integrate QAQC priorities into engineering and planning deliverables.

Guarantee comprehensive documentation and tracking of QAQC logs, including inspection templates, approvals, and closure memos.

Champion quality advocacy across teams, reinforcing benchmarks and operational consistency through regular communication.

Engage with statutory bodies to align with legal and technical QA obligations.

Conduct internal/external audits to assess QA systems’ effectiveness and spot non-compliance or improvement areas.

Manage the unit turnover workflow, collaborating with site and handover teams to guide end-user acceptance procedures.

Maintain QA documentation and handle checklist submission for all inspections and deliverables to the client.

Oversee unit defect walkthroughs and follow-up actions with client and owner representatives.

Coordinate trade and mock-up verifications as part of QA endorsement processes.

Develop on-site proactive quality risk control initiatives and build preventive measures for future construction cycles.

Guide ground-level supervisors and execution crews in achieving quality certifications and compliance benchmarks like QM and CONQUAS.

Represent the QAQC function in engagements with BCA and related agencies.

Produce consolidated QA reports for both internal project updates and mandatory authority submissions.
Candidate Profile

Recognized qualifications in Engineering or Quality Management (Diploma/Degree level).
-
Minimum 7 years leading QAQC functions in a managerial capacity.
-
Cumulative 10+ years of experience in construction environments, specifically handling quality assurance practices.
-
Familiar with BCA’s Quality Mark and CONQUAS systems; certification in QM course preferred.
-
Exposure to ISO 9000-based documentation and procedures; certification advantageous.
