The purpose of the Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for driving maintenance excellence and equipment reliability by providing direct supervision and direction to third-party contractors across Static, Rotating, Civil, and Ad Hoc activities. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance tasks, resulting in minimum equipment downtime and maximized productivity.
 
· Safety & Compliance Execution: Direct and oversee all maintenance work to ensure flawless execution in strict compliance with rules and regulations, Industry standards, and local Authority requirements.
· Field Leadership & Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary point of contact for frontline troubleshooting and immediate problem resolution. Manage and allocate resources efficiently to execute scheduled jobs, break-ins, and special services.
· Contractor and Activity Management: Oversee the productivity and performance of all third-party contractors and service providers. Collaborate with Operations and Planners to prioritise new work orders, support continuous workflow, and ensure timely, on-budget execution of assigned Turnaround (TA) and Project maintenance activities.
· Achieve first-time-right maintenance and high productivity to deliver minimum equipment downtime and continuous reliability improvements.
· Effectively mastering and balancing the three key skill sets: technical expertise, supervisory leadership, and maintenance planning/business acumen.
· Authority to override the maintenance plan on contractor crews, adjust contractor resources, and modify field plans based on work priorities, site conditions, and operational experience.
· Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
· At least 3 years of relevant experience in the refinery and petrochemical industry
· Prior Experience in Projects and TAs execution
· Knowledgeable with international standards, petroleum /petrochemical plant materials and equipment
· Experienced in maintenance work control, planning, and reliability methodologies
· Good communication skills, strong critical thinking, good troubleshooting skills
